1. Introduction

OISCA College was established in 1967 as part of OISCA International, a non-governmental organization that has promoted International Corporation in Socio-Economic development for developing countries and educational studies since its foundation in 1961.

In the beginning, we only accepted Japanese students, however we opened the door to students from overseas and have successfully placed students mainly from other Asian countries since 1990.

In addition to the regular gJapanese Languageh program, we offer courses such as gJapanese Culture & Traditionh and gStudies on Japanese Life Styleh, and we have yielded fruitful results

Starting in 2005, we will establish a gJapanese Language Departmenth in order to provide overseas students with invaluable opportunities to master Japanese language, increasing cultural knowledge and awareness, and gaining confidence in using another language.

Our college is distinctive in that it allows students to learn the language and other cultural aspects through the living experiences in the dormitory on the campus. Students will have opportunities to live with their co-students and staff using gJapaneseh as a common language. There is an atmosphere of a co-existing like ghuge familyh among students and teachers whom all sharing the roles of creating a comfortable living and studying environment. There are many other things to learn not only in classroom, but also responsibility of daily life.
